The main job tasks are:
Initiate implementation and establish a relation with the client once the sales team has handed over the project.
- Assess the client needs – Get a complete picture of the client’s goals for the system, and the workflows that the client expect to be supported.
- System setup – Convert the client needs to system configurations.
- Training and Workshops – Be the person that helps the client get the most out of their application.
- Writing specifications – when the system does not meet client needs, formulate the need so developers can create the new features.
- Support – Follow up on installations and keep in touch with the clients.
You probably find yourself detail-oriented, results-driven, ambitious and willing to do whatever it takes to meet a client’s needs, while keeping a commercial mindset. You are as good at solving complicated technical problems as communicating with clients, and you always maintain an air of professionalism. Maybe you have been working within the sector of People Transport and now you would like to take your career to the next step, or you just finished your education and would like to enter the software industry. Above all, you like working with diversified tasks in a small group with a very entrepreneurial atmosphere. We expect you to have a relevant university education in IT or equivalent experience from working life. You are proficient in written and spoken Swedish and English. Experience from the public transport industry and / or scheduling and dispatch will be an advantage.
Who are we?
We are a core-team of nine people, located in the middle of Malmö, and we handle all aspects of the client relation. Our team is very diverse, we have both the ones that have been with Malmator since the early days as well as the new generations that brings our systems into the future. Malmator was acquired four years ago by Trapeze. To leverage our own competencies, we collaborate with our sister Companies Trapeze Group Europe in Denmark and PLANit in Gothenburg as well as our hosting partners and our overseas development teams.
Company Background Malmator, founded in 1987, is a Swedish computer software company specialized in delivering solutions for the public transport sector. We aim to develop software, which makes it easier for public transport authorities to plan and implement their services. Our main product is called Sam3001, and it has been on the market since 1982. We have a high market share in Sweden and our applications currently handles more than 9 million bookings each year. Sam3001 is a planning tool for para-transit services for persons with mobility impairments who cannot get around by ordinary bus or train, demand-responsive transports for persons living in sparsely populated areas, connecting services
to ordinary bus or train lines, and much more. Both scheduled services, which run according to a fixed timetable and route, or transport-on-demand with flexible routing, are possible with Sam3001. Different types of vehicles can be scheduled, from small taxicabs to large buses and
even trains. Sam3001 includes functions for client registration and booking of trips. It also incorporates scheduling, dispatching and monitoring of the transport services. A separate module is available which handles applications and documentation regarding the individual traveler.
