Bluewater is pushing the boundaries of point-of-use drinking water delivery technology in order to continue providing innovative, market-leading water purification solutions. We are now seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our world-class team at Science Park, Jönköping who are busy reimagining the science of water delivery.
Our aim is to introduce radically new water delivery technology and solutions for global applications and the new role will be crucial to deliver them to consumers and business customers.
We will expect you to bring your engineering expertise and sense of adventure to influence, design and implement product functionality, performance, manufacturability, cost and reliability.
Your work will embrace innovation, design, development, and implementation of mechanical and electro-mechanical elements in products under development as well as existing products.
Additionally, as a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be expected to generate quick prototype-level testing samples; design, characterization and reporting on the functionality and performance of the prototypes and creation of mechanical reference designs.
You will operate as part of project teams and deliver on specific assignments. You will also collaborate closely with teams from other departments as and when required.
You hold an academic degree in Engineering from university and are fluent in spoken and written English.
The successful candidate will possess solid experience of technical product development projects in an international environment.
To succeed in this role, we believe you will need to have a deep technical interest and are familiar with the basics of mechanics, mechatronics and hydraulics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong documented record of creative mechanical design and rapid prototyping and knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes.
You have solid 3D-CAD skills (preferable Solidworks).
Previous experience of working in the water treatment industry is advantageous as well as experience of working in and towards China.
